Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan launched a mobile application and website for Sumedha Higher Education Project at Kerala Legislative Assembly. Sumedha is a higher education project being run by MLA E.T Taison Master of Kaipamangalam constituency in association with KITES Foundation as project support partner. The application was fully designed and developed by KITES Foundation, a Kerala-based NGO
The project was centered at the Kaippamangalam constituency and later started online due to the pandemic, which resulted in benefitting hundreds of students across Kerala. Over a thousand students are being benefitted through the civil service academy project.Students in and out of the constituency can get free coaching for competitive exams like UPSC through this app.
General Knowledge and updated current affairs, Test series, Online classes in both Malayalam and English, Previous question papers, and all are the key highlights of the app.
The app aims to provide coaching for various quiz competitions and competitive exams like LSS, USS, and other national research talent tests for around five lakhs of students ranging from Upper primary level to higher secondary level and civil service and psc coaching for around two lakh of people who prepare and desire for it at free of cost. It acts as a supporting platform for aspirant students who find it difficult to get through the process because of financial burden. The official inauguration of this app and website was inaugurated by Hon. CM Pinarayi Vijayan Sir at his office in Trivandrum.
